Swear more often.
hear a tiny teen roaming around in his Adidas onsie shouting words that you definitely wouldn't say to your gran. But what's the problem with the odd 'fuck' or 'shit' jumping into our language? We all do it.
It's proven in many places that swearing is actually a sign of intelligence. If you're using taboo words it just shows that your speech is more adaptive and selective. If not our languages would all be boring. I mean come on who hasn't tried getting their younger sibling or relative to swear? It's just natural to do so.
The older generation are those that say, "Swearing is a sign of limited vocabulary."
They're only saying that because during their times our world was ruled by religion, Science wasn't a strong part of society. It was considered sinful in many religions to swear thus meaning our elders chose not to in order to have a good after life.
So why is it relevant now?

Swear words are considered rude in many places. Words that you'd commonly use when trying to insult or hurt someone. I mean fair enough, if you're using them to insult then it should be seen as rude as you would with any other word. Intellectual words can be used to deeply insult people so what's the stigma? You don't get annoyed if someone uses the word pungent to describe a terrible smell. Yet when they say, "that smells like shit" we all get oddly angered.
So what is it?
It's all about the atmosphere, the company, and the situation.

I was brought up in a home where even saying "twat" or "cunt" was a big no-no. And I can respect that, it was my parents house therefore I should follow their rules.
Currently I'm at college and if you don't swear you would be looked upon as some kinda weirdo yet if you said it to your tutor you'd probably not be their favourite student for much longer. If I'm hanging around with my friends it's not considered a big deal.
I tell all of you to look at it like this. They are just words. 1000 years ago words like "fuck" didn't exist. In 1000 years we know there will be some futuristic, fancy and just outright confusing taboo word that if I was going to say it today it would sound like complete shit.
I will agree that someone who uses every swear word invented to express themselves would indicate to me that they lack the intelligence to express themselves properly. Children today mainly. Swearing in their groups and around school. Most have lived lives without the bedtime book reading or good education. Maybe they haven't been given the opportunity to use 'brighter' words. But why do we all keep to that mindset? Let's change that.
We need to start hearing authoritative people saying these taboo words, it will make our language more open and expressive. Imagine being pulled over by a police woman and she just strolls up saying 'alright dickhead.' It would make our country and many other countries more fun. A lot more fun. Say you got some shrapnel stuck in your rear area and went to see the Doctor, wouldn't it be delightful if they just said, "you've got a fucking tiny piece of metal lodged in your arse."
We all need to consider it. Make our language greater. Make our language more expressive. Swear more often.
